The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has announced the postponement of its National Congress, originally scheduled for November 29, 2024. The decision was conveyed in an official statement signed by the National President, Comr. Lucky Emonefe, on November 27, 2024.
According to the statement, the postponement is due to the forthcoming inauguration of the newly elected NANS Zone ‘A’ Executives. The inauguration is set to take place on November 30, 2024. The association emphasized the importance of ensuring the smooth conduct of the inauguration, prompting the adjustment in the congress schedule.

While a new date for the National Congress has not been announced, NANS assured stakeholders that further details will be communicated in due course. The association expressed its appreciation to all Zonal Coordinators, Chairmen of Joint Campus Councils, Presidents of Students’ Union Governments, Nigerian students, and other stakeholders for their understanding and support during this adjustment.
