The air component of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’ killed scores of terrorists and destroyed a terrorist food storage in airstrikes on their enclave at Jubillaram in the Tumbuns region of Lake Chad Basin in Yobe State.
Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, issued the statement on Monday in Abuja.
Akinboyewa said the NAF aircraft carried out the missions on November 23, 2024, at a strategic position discovered through painstaking intelligence investigations.
He claimed that the location acted as both a major food storage facility and a safe haven for terrorist commanders and fighters.
Also, the air force spokesman stated that intelligence it obtained, had already linked terrorists in the area to recent incidents, notably the assault on troops in Kareto on November 16, 2024.

“The operation’s success was made possible by extensive intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions conducted over several days, confirming the presence of active terrorist structures camouflaged under dense vegetation.
“The destruction of the terrorist enclave, including food storage facilities, severely disrupted their logistical operations, while the neutralisation of a significant number of fighters diminished their capacity to launch future attacks,” he said.
Akinboyewa stated that the mission highlighted the NAF’s unflinching commitment to safeguarding the nation and people by acting alone and assisting surface forces in counterterrorism operations.
He reaffirmed the NAF’s resolve to maintaining strong independent and joint operations until all enemies of Nigeria’s prosperity and well-being are brought to justice.
