- Laments state of facilities at Enugu trade fair ground
The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has hailed the governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for supporting the business sector and enhancing technology in the state.
The Trumpet reports that the National President of NACCIMA, Ide John C. Udeagbala, gave the commendation at the ongoing 33rd Enugu International Trade Fair, holding in Enugu.
Udeagbala, who was represented by the South East Vice President of NACCIMA, Humphrey Ngomadi, described Ugwanyi and his administration’s support for the association as ‘enormous.’
He said the governor’s leadership style cut across all sectors of the economy, especially in business and investment, adding Ugwuanyi’s investment in the Enugu Tech Hub and Youth Investment Centre had led to youth empowerment and friendly environment.
“It is worthy to also note that your administration’s youth empowerment has contributed to the economic growth and peace being enjoyed in the state the economic sector still needs further encouragement to add greater value to the state’s economy,” he stated.
Speaking on the theme: Opening Up Nigeria Business Window for Competitiveness In The Emerging Global Market, he said the fair offers exhibitors opportunities to showcase their products.
“This offers business and transaction opportunities beyond national borders and the global market offers business growth and competitiveness among investors.

Udeagbala, therefore, appealed to the Federal Government to fix the deteriorating facilities at the Enugu Trade Fair ground for a better exhibition.
He lamented that the fair ground had been neglected for several years, despite the important role the international fair ground offers businesses in the South East region and beyond.
