A Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday postponed the trial of the former Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who faces charges of official corruption and abuse of office, until April 30.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) filed 18 charges against Ojerinde relating to corruption and fraud amounting to N5.2 billion during his tenure at the National Examination Council (NECO) and JAMB.
Ojerinde and the ICPC had previously agreed to settle the N5.2 billion case out of court on July 16, 2025.
However, the trial could not proceed on Wernesday due to the absence of Justice Mohammed Umar, who was engaged in another official duty, leading to the rescheduling of the case for April 30.
Ojerinde is being prosecuted alongside four of his children, Mary, Olumide, Adebayo, and Oluwaseun Ojerinde, as well as several other defendants.

This case, identified as FHC//ABJ/CR/119/2023, is one of several criminal charges filed by the ICPC against the former JAMB head.
Ojerinde is also facing another set of 18 charges related to the alleged misappropriation of funds during his tenure at NECO and JAMB, which is being heard in a separate court overseen by Justice Obiora Egwuatu, with a hearing scheduled for March 25.
