After a closed-door meeting on Tuesday with N-Power beneficiaries and several prominent government officials, the beneficiaries held another session with the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on Wednesday.
The meeting was aimed at providing further clarity on the ministry’s efforts to ensure the payment of their outstanding allowances.
The beneficiaries expressed their excitement over recent developments regarding their payments when the minister announced that the president had approved and was prepared to settle their overdue allowances soon.
Professor Nentawe informed the beneficiaries that the president is eager to address any issues directly affecting the welfare of the Nigeria youth.
He revealed that the president had recently signed another approval for the payments, and his ministry is collaborating closely with the Federal Ministry of Finance and other relevant federal agencies to ensure a prompt and efficient start to the backlog payments.
One beneficiary, who serves as the National Director of Media and Publicity and is also the chairman of the Abuja chapter, Paul Joseph, praised the minister, calling him a remarkable figure in the country’s history.

“Minister, you are the most approachable and straightforward leader I have ever encountered in this country, and we are fortunate to have you.
I urge you to expedite the processes, as Nigerian youths are facing significant challenges every day,” he said.
Kainde James, the factional National Chairman of the association, expressed gratitude for the information shared during the meeting and promised to relay it to his followers.
He also urged the federal government to retain all N-Power beneficiaries even after settling their outstanding allowances to provide them with a brighter future.
The meeting between the N-Power beneficiaries and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation took place in a positive atmosphere filled with hope and anticipation.
