Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, says nobody should distract his administration with the 2027 general elections as he is focused on fixing state.
Gov. Otti stated this on Saturday when he worshipped at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Umuikaa District headquarters in Isialangwa South Local Government Area.
He assured that he would remain focused on doing the right thing, adding that he is not bothered about 2027 as the God that settled 2023 would equally settle 2027.
“I assure you that this government will continue to do the right thing. No one, or group of people, whoever they are, none of them is entitled to distract us.
“So, when they make noise, like I said last week, we should not be bothered about noise. We should just remain focused and do what we have to do.
“So, sometimes, I worry if it is the 2027 election they are talking about, or maybe there’s another election coming up. But the same way God delivered 2023, that is the way he will deliver 2027 in Jesus’ name,” Gov. Otti declared.
The governor assured that he would continue to serve the state in truth and honesty, just he thanked the church for supporting his administration.

Earlier in his sermon on the topic, “Living with eternal perspective” Masterguide Chidera Mark, drew the attention of the church to the book of Isaiah, chapter 40:28 to 31 and assured believers in Christ that God does not change nor faint.
He urged all to put their hopes in Christ, assuring them of the eternal Kingdom.
While appreciating the leadership style of Gov. Otti, the preacher noted that there were issues to be worried about in Abia before now, but the emergence of Gov. Otti brought hope in the state.
He emphasised that his re-election would sustain the hope and good works being witnessed currently.
