The newly appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars Football Club, Ahmed Musa, has committed to improving the club and restoring its status as one of the top football teams in Africa.
Musa shared his plans in a statement released by the club’s media and communications team on Tuesday in Kano.
During a meeting with the club’s Chairman, Alhaji Ali Umar, and other board members, Musa expressed his eagerness to collaborate with everyone involved to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Describing Kano Pillars as one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs, Musa acknowledged the challenges the club has faced in recent years and emphasized the need for teamwork and careful planning to overcome these issues.
“Kano Pillars is our club and has a proud history, but things have changed recently,” Musa stated.
“I assure you that with your support and the backing of the board, I will do everything I can to make this club great again, not only in Africa but on a global scale.”

Drawing from his experience playing in Europe, Musa believes he can make a positive impact on the club’s future.
He stressed that achieving success will require the support of everyone, the management, players, fans, and partners, to work together with dedication and professionalism.
Recently, the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, approved Musa’s new role as general manager of the state-owned club, as part of efforts to modernize the team and bring it in line with the best practices worldwide.
Kano Pillars, a team with four Nigeria Professional Football League titles, is aiming for a fresh start and exciting times ahead under Musa’s leadership.
