The monarch of Mayo-Selbe in Gashaka local government council of Taraba state, Yerima Timothy Maiyanga, has called for an immediate end to the circulation of false rumors concerning the ANI Foundation.
Speaking on with journalists on Saturday in is palace, Maiyanga highlighted the foundation’s positive contributions to the growth of Gumpti National Park and its surrounding communities.
The monarch praised the ANI Foundation for its pivotal role in eliminating kidnappers and armed bandits from the park.
He urged those spreading misinformation about the foundation to stop immediately, noting that such allegations could jeopardize the strong relationship between the National Park Service (NPS), ANI Foundation, and local communities.
Maiyanga defended the foundation against claims of a hidden agenda, describing them as “unfounded” and damaging to community relations.

He lauded ANI Foundation for its efforts in restoring peace and enhancing security while also providing crucial economic support.
The monarch reaffirmed his commitment to partnering with ANI Foundation to address environmental issues in the park, including illegal logging, pollution, poaching, and grazing.
He noted the foundation’s success in training and equipping NPS rangers with advanced technology to improve park security.
Rather than criticizing the foundation, Maiyanga encouraged detractors to collaborate with ANI Foundation to foster further growth and development in the region.
Recent allegations of the foundation’s involvement in illegal activities within the park have been dismissed as “false and unfounded” by the monarch and local stakeholders.
