Real Madrid ace playmaker, Luka Modric, has extended his contract with the Spanish giants that will enable him remain in the Spanish capital until June 30, 2023.
The Croatian, on Wednesday, renewed his contract after enduring a superb spell at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Modric, who joined Madrid from Tottenham in 2012 in a deal worth £30m, has won five Champions League and three LA Liga trophies in his ten-year spell at the club.
The midfield maestro has also made 436 appearances for Madrid in all competitions, scoring 31 goals while creating 73 assists. Definitely, he is happy to commit to the club for an additional year.
He said, “I am very happy and I’m proud to continue at least for one more year with Real Madrid.

Confirming Modric’s new deal, Real Madrid are continuing to build their squad for the 2022/23 season, in which they’ll seek to defend their status as Spanish and European champions.
This development which comes after the club confirmed the signing of Antonio Rudier and Aurelien Tchoumeni, shows Real Madrid have taken another step towards finalising the squad that will work under Carlo Ancelotti next season.
According to reports by Spanish media, Madrid have always sought to extend the Croatian’s contract who has been instrumental to the dynamism experienced in Los Blancos midfielder.
