In a quick and proactive move to address flooding in certain areas of Yola South Local Government Area, the Adamawa State Ministry for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration, and Humanitarian Services has initiated an on-site assessment to gauge the situation and plan for immediate and long-term recovery.
The assessment team was led by the Commissioner, Bello Diram, who demonstrated outstanding leadership by actively participating in the rescue and evaluation efforts.
His direct involvement highlighted the ministry’s dedication not only to governance but also to compassionate and responsive public service.
The commissioner was joined by the Permanent Secretary of the ninistry, Amos Enoch Piribu, who oversaw the operations.
The team also included the director of the department of damage assessment, other senior directors, and the ministry’s information officer.
The aim of this urgent field visit was not only to conduct rescues and assess damage but also to collect accurate, real-time data for effective planning, recovery, and sustainable development.
