The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has described the drive, energy, creativity, and mobilisation capacity of Nigerian youths as the driving force sustaining the momentum of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mahmoud made the remarks while addressing youth leaders of the APC from the North-West at a “Meet and Greet” event for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, held at the Ladi Kwali Hall, African Continental Hotel, Abuja.
She commended the presidential campaign council and the APC youth leadership for organising the event, noting that it provided a vital platform for strengthening unity, engagement, and commitment within the party.
The minister praised the youths for their unwavering loyalty to the APC and the leadership of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, describing their contributions as central to the party’s success.
“Your energy, ideas, and mobilisation efforts continue to serve as the backbone of our party’s success and the sustenance of our democratic ideals,” Mahmoud said.
She reaffirmed the strategic importance of the North-West zone in Nigeria’s political history and the APC’s electoral victories, urging youth leaders to remain focused on issue-based engagement, peaceful mobilisation, and constructive dialogue.
Mahmoud expressed confidence that the gathering would further deepen party unity and re-energise the youth base in support of the Tinubu-Shettima administration.

Goronyo said the event was also aimed at re-energising young people to sustain their support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in the North-West zone.
He called on youths to continue playing active roles in mobilising support for the administration, stressing that their participation was crucial to the successful implementation of campaign promises.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of meritorious awards to outstanding APC youth leaders from the North-West zone in recognition of their contributions to the party.
