The Senate Committee on Local Content has officially appointed popular entertainer Otagba Ajirioghene, widely known as MC 2Kingdom, as its Brand Ambassador.
The appointment, conveyed in an official letter dated July 28, 2025, and signed by Edith Ajah, Clerk of the Senate Committee on Local Content, recognizes MC 2Kingdom’s outstanding public profile, creative influence, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Nigerian values.
According to the letter, the appointment is part of the Committee’s strategic plan to engage influential personalities who can amplify the importance of local content development across various sectors of the economy, especially in the oil and gas industry, as mandated by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Act.

MC 2Kingdom’s new role will involve leveraging his public platforms to raise awareness on the importance of local content, engage with the public, and align the Committee’s messages with national development objectives.
The appointment takes effect immediately and is subject to periodic review, with specific terms and expectations outlined in the official documentation.
