Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta‘s transfer to AC Milan is now in jeopardy due to complications with his medical examination.
The 28-year-old French forward underwent further medical tests on Monday, but the Italian club is likely to withdraw from the £30 million deal.
Mateta, who Palace manager Oliver Glasner revealed in December has been dealing with a knee problem, had an initial medical assessment on Sunday.
He is eager to leave Selhurst Park, but Palace is hesitant to let him go without securing a replacement.

The Eagles have reached an agreement for a £48 million deal with Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen and have allowed Mateta to undergo a medical in London before heading to Milan.
Nottingham Forest has also shown interest in the striker, having had a £35 million offer rejected by Palace last weekend.
