Mansour El Mansour has been named the winner of the Global Teacher Award in 2025. This prestigious award, now in its ninth edition, recognizes exceptional educators who have made a significant impact both in the classroom and beyond through innovation, community contributions, and efforts to shape global citizens.

As a humanitarian and advocate for transformative learning, Mansour is known for his charity work and his efforts to teach prisoners. He serves as a teacher at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi School in Al-Ahsa and is also an author. His community initiatives include a program that ensures access to air conditioning maintenance for residents during Saudi Arabia’s extreme summer heat. Additionally, he works closely with orphans and hopes to use the prize money to build a school for them.

Mansour’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Saudi Arabia’s most influential teachers is a testament to his resilience, passion, and unwavering commitment to education. He has been honored with the GEMS Education Global Teacher Prize, an initiative of the Varkey Foundation organized in collaboration with UNESCO.

His victory was announced on February 13, 2025, at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, UAE. The Global Teacher Prize recognizes not only exceptional classroom instruction but also innovative community contributions that foster global citizenship.

Mansour’s teaching philosophy centers around life skills, happiness, and sustainability. He tailors his methods to meet the individual needs of students, actively engages families in the learning process, and integrates modern teaching models aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He connects education to real-world issues like climate change, financial literacy, and social responsibility through project-based learning. His pioneering use of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and interactive learning platforms has transformed the classroom experience. With the support of the Mohammed Bin Zayed Award, he established an innovative educational platform that allows students to explore subjects through immersive technology.

Beyond the classroom, Mansour is an advocate for social good. He has launched charitable initiatives, volunteer programs, and support networks for orphans, prisoners, and underprivileged families. His involvement in rehabilitation programs has helped individuals reintegrate into society, while his students have collectively contributed over 5,000 volunteer hours. Initiatives such as “Your Summer is Cold,” which provides air conditioner maintenance for low-income families, and programs addressing domestic violence highlight his commitment to uplifting communities.

Mansour is not only shaping students; he is also shaping the world. Through international workshops, cultural exchanges, and virtual collaborations, he promotes values of tolerance, equality, and sustainability. His Smart Afforestation initiative, which aims to plant one million trees, reflects his dedication to environmental education. Under his mentorship, students have gained global recognition, earning awards at prestigious competitions such as the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States.

As a prolific author of over 20 educational books and a respected speaker at international conferences, Mansour has made a profound impact on the teaching profession. He has trained hundreds of educators, published best practices, and championed innovative teaching methodologies across the Gulf region. His tireless advocacy for lifelong learning and teacher empowerment continues to inspire and shape the future of education.
