A High Court in Zamfara State has handed down a death sentence by hanging to Anas Dahiru.
Dahiru, a resident of Unguwar Dallatu Area in Gusau, the state capital, was found guilty of fatally attacking his friend, Shamsu Ibrahim, with a knife during a heated dispute over a mere 100 naira back in 2017.
The case, as noticed by our Zamfara state correspondent, was classified as culpable homicide.

During the same court proceedings, another individual was sentenced to life in prison for their involvement in an attempted armed robbery within the state.
The judgments were delivered by Justice Muktar Yushau, emphasizing the severity of the offences committed.
