A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death during a domestic violence that unfolded in the Oke Ira Ilogbo Eremi area of Lagos State.
The state of Lagos command public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeying in a statement on Thursday asserted that police reports, detectives on township surveillance patrol received information at about 11:25 a.m. that a man, identified as Peter Dike, had fatally stabbed his wife at their residence.
“Acting swiftly, officers proceeded to the scene, where they found the lifeless body of the 38-year-old woman in a pool of blood.

”The suspect was immediately arrested, and a blood-stained kitchen knife was recovered from him. He was taken into custody and, during interrogation, reportedly confessed to committing the crime.
“Authorities have since transferred the woman’s remains to the morgue at General Hospital, Badagry, for preservation. The case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
Police have urged the public to report incidents of domestic violence and seek help to prevent similar tragedies.
