The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial zone of Ebonyi state, Senator Micheal Ama Nnachi has flagged off his re-election campaign activities for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the February 25, 2023 elections.

Nnachi also gave out empowerment items such as motorcycles, tricycles, scholarships to 300 students, and the cash sum of 1 million naira as part of his Christmas package to his Constituents at the event held in his residence at Itim Edda, Afikpo south local government area of the State.

The senator who flagged off the campaign in the presence of the PDP guber candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, Barr Idu Igariwey, Barr. Mudi Erehnede, Silas Onu, and a host of party bigwigs promised to sustain human and capital development for the people if reelected.

“I want to remind us that we have four months and twenty-five days for PDP to be in the government house, we are going to make sure that teachers’ salaries are paid in full.

“We will continue to sustain human capital development, we are going to empower the people with finances that would give them the power to earn a living, and reshape education.

“In Ebonyi State today, teachers contribute money to buy chalk to teach children, but it will soon come to an end, I know this because I did education empowerment last two weeks”, he said.

The senator maintained that the PDP would continue to win elections in the State because they had performed wonderfully well and would continue to deliver good governance to the people.

He expressed confidence that the PDP guber candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii would perform beyond people’s expectations because, according to him, he is an experienced businessman that will not be interested in using public funds to survive.

“AnyiChuks does not require People’s subvention or allocation to stand, he would require the subvention to be used for the people”. he added.

He called on his Constituents to come out en mass on election day and vote for PDP candidates at all levels.

The PDP guber candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odi, in a remark, said if elected, his administration would focus on addressing issues of security, education, and health care system as well as ensure that the local government system becomes functional.

The lawmaker representing Afikpo North and South Federal Constituency, Hon Iduma Igariwey, said the State needs a change and maintained that it’s only the PDP that would bring positive change to the people and urged for party members to be united in the State.

Others who spoke at the event include Prince Ugorji Amaoti, Engr Paul Okorie for Ohaozara LGA, Barr Mudi Erehnede Afikpo North, Hon. Oliver Osi for Ivo LGA, Emmanuel Ugbala for Onicha LGA, Chief Abia Onyike, and the national president of Ebonyi women’s wing, Mrs Victoria Ogodo, reaffirmed their loyalty to the PDP.
