The League Management Company (LMC) has banned Kano Pillars (Sai Masu Gida) from using Sani Abacha Stadium indefinitely after it granted a provisional approval on April 12, 2022 to the club to use the venue The Trumpet gathered.
The LMC actions came as a result of the attack on Katsina United players and supporters in Sunday’s match by Kano Pillars’ fans to the extent that Katsina United bus was vandalised in the process.
Kano Pillars’ match against Katsina United is the first match that Sai Masu Gida played in the Sani Abacha Stadium after 2 years of playing their home matches out of the state.

The LMC rolling out the slams after it fined the club N9,000,000 for breaching league rules, restricted Kano Pillars to the MKO Abiola National Stadium for all home matches, and directed the Kano club to repair or replace the Katsina United’s bus destroyed in the process.
Furthermore, the management of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), LMC, also deducted 3 points from the already accrued league points by Kano Pillars.
However, on the issue of the inconclusive match between the NPFL clubs, LMC has reschedule it to the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
