It is no secret that Liverpool are on the lookout for a striker and it seems increasingly likely that the man could be Luis Diaz.
With Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane set to head to the African Cup of Nations, Jurgen Klopp needs alternatives who could arrive in January.
Porto forward Diaz’s name has been linked in recent days, much like that of Jonathan David, the Lille striker who L’Equipe reported would be available at a cheaper price than the Colombian.
The Daily Star say that the Reds could sign both players in January if some players are sold, otherwise it would only be Diaz to make the move to Anfield.
They also cite Correio da Manha in Portugal, who report that Liverpool have been impressed by Diaz’s performances against them in the Champions League this season.
The 24-year-old has scored 11 goals in 14 league games for Porto this season, with two goals in six Champions League appearances.
