President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration Today, January 20 will feature a lineup of several high-profile black people, despite facing some backlash by the African American community calling them sellouts.
Kid Rock, an ardent supporter of Trump, is set to perform at the Make America Great Again Victory Rally, continuing his participation in pro-Trump events following the Republican National Convention.
The Village People, known for their iconic disco anthem “Y.M.C.A.,” will also take the stage at both the Victory Rally and the Liberty Ball. The song, which has gained renewed popularity at Trump rallies, has stirred discussions about its status as an unofficial gay anthem.

Victor Willis, a founding member of the group, expressed pride in their involvement at the inauguration while clarifying any misconceptions about the song’s queer subtext.
Rapper Nelly, who faced criticism for agreeing to perform at the inauguration, defended his choice, stating it is an honor to perform for the president, regardless of his affiliation.
Snoop Dogg also showed support for Trump, taking the stage at the Crypto Ball, a pre-inauguration event, and energizing the crowd with his hit songs.
Additional notable African American figures scheduled to attend the inauguration include artists Fivio Foreign, Rod Wave, and Kodak Black, alongside reggaeton stars Justin Quiles and Anuel AA, as well as athletes like boxer Mike Tyson and UFC champion Jon Jones.
