The Chairman of Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh, has issued a powerful call to Nigerian youths, urging them to seize the opportunities of the digital age to create wealth, secure meaningful engagement, and build sustainable digital empires. Speaking at the Enugu Tech Festival 2025, themed “Coal to Code,” Ekeh challenged the new generation to fully embrace technology as a pathway to economic empowerment and relevance in a rapidly evolving world.
Ekeh emphasized that in today’s internet-driven world, no youth is destined to be poor, insisting that the tools for success are already in their hands—literally. “We are in the era of a tech-innovation knowledge economy,” he said, adding that smartphones and digital devices should no longer be used for mere entertainment but harnessed as tools to generate value, drive innovation, and build digital enterprises.
He urged young people in Enugu and across Nigeria to immerse themselves in tech-driven, solution-based ventures, noting that the 21st century belongs to those who can innovate and adapt digitally. “This is a century of tech-innovative results. God did not create anyone to be poor in this century,” he said.
The Zinox boss did not stop at motivating youths alone. He also challenged state governments, especially those in the South-East, to make bold, strategic investments in tech infrastructure, which he described as critical to unlocking the vast potential of the youth population. According to him, “The world is moving towards a full digital economy, and digital wealth is now the new mega wealth that yields exponential results within a short period.”

Ekeh stressed that real transformation would only come through deliberate and sustained investment in digital infrastructure and policies that encourage innovation. He praised Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for his visionary approach in prioritizing tech innovation across sectors such as security, education, healthcare, and public administration. “Governor Mbah has positioned Enugu State to ride the wave of digital transformation, and that will pay off in the near future,” he stated.
He concluded by highlighting the silent but growing tech revolution brewing among Nigerian youths. “Right now, many don’t fully grasp the fire and hunger for digital innovation burning in our young people. But in the next few months or years, the world will witness the powerful results of the investments being made today.”
With Nigeria’s tech ecosystem on the rise, and visionary leaders like Ekeh lighting the path, the call to action is clear: get engaged, innovate, and build you
