A Magistrate Court in Ikeja, Lagos State has released Comfort Emmanson, the female passenger who was accused of misbehaving and causing trouble on an Ibom Air flight.
The decision was taken by Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami, who dismissed the charges after the police withdrew their case against Emmanson.
The decision was supported by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who spoke after discussions with key figures in the aviation industry.
Keyamo noted that the decision was made after carefully reviewing the incident, listening to appeals from various individuals, and acknowledging the remorse shown by everyone involved.
He also mentioned that Ibom Air has agreed to drop their complaint against Emmanson, who had been arrested following an incident on August 10.

Emmanson had appeared in court earlier this week and was granted bail, but she was unable to meet the bail conditions and was taken to Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
During a later court session, the prosecutor, Oluwabunmi Adeitan, informed the court of new developments that led to the withdrawal of the case.
The court accepted this request.
