The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the release of Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, a former legislator who represented Okigwe Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
This was disclosed in a statement issued to journalists on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Henry Okoye.
According to the statement, “He was released yesterday night and the Command is working in synergy with other security agencies to make sure his abductors are apprehended and brought to book.”

Recall that the former lawmaker was kidnapped last week by unknown gunmen.
The Police Command reassured members of the public of its unwavering commitment to security, stressing, “We are ever committed to enhancing the peace and security of everyone in Imo State.”
