The leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has criticized the UK government’s decision to officially recognize the State of Palestine.
She believes this move could have serious negative consequences.
Describing the recognition as “very problematic,” Badenoch warned that the UK might regret this decision in the future.
She emphasized on social media that this action rewards violence without any conditions to address the situation with Hamas, which she says leaves hostages suffering in Gaza and does nothing to alleviate the plight of innocent people affected by the ongoing conflict.
Badenoch also accused the Labour-led government of neglecting pressing issues in the UK while focusing on symbolic policies instead.

According to her, since Labour is unable to solve major problems like NHS challenges, youth employment, and immigration, they are diverting attention to less critical matters, such as recognizing Palestine.
She took a swipe at Prime Minister Keir Starmer, linking this decision to what she sees as a pattern of poor leadership.
She reminded everyone that Starmer previously agreed to pay a large sum to Mauritius as reparations and gave up the Chagos Islands, suggesting that his actions indicate a lack of careful planning for the country’s future.
Badenoch concluded with a warning, saying that Starmer will spend the next four years catering to the far-left of his party to maintain power, leaving a difficult situation for future leaders to address.
