The Katsina State government has authorized the disbursement of monthly stipends to Christian clergy and has begun the process of hiring Christian Religious Studies (CRS) teachers for public schools.
This announcement was made by the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in a statement issued by its Secretary, Dr. Musa Danladi, on behalf of the Chairman, Very Rev. Fr. Richard Liti.
CAN characterized this initiative as a significant move towards inclusivity and moral development, highlighting that the demand for CRS teachers has been a long-standing request from the Christian community.

Dr. Musa noted that the stipend would motivate pastors to continue their prayers for peace and progress in the state, while the recruitment of CRS teachers would improve the moral upbringing and academic success of Christian students.
He encouraged qualified Christians to apply for the teaching roles online and urged the government to maintain this program beyond the current administration to promote religious harmony.
