The Kano State House of Assembly has approved the sum of N215,378,374,543.62 supplementary budgets for the Kano state government.
The supplementary budget was passed into law after it was considered in the committee of the whole house and third third reading by the clerk, Bashir Diso, during Monday’s plenary presided over by the speaker, Ismail Falgore.
The Kano state government budget for 2025 now stands at N935,133,792,260.62 from an initial approval of N719,755,417,663.00 approved in 2024.

Earlier in August 2025, the state executive council after the 30th executive council meeting sent a letter to the House seeking to expand its 2025 budgets by N169,522,463,294.81.
According to the council, the supplementary budget is aimed to strengthen government capacity to deliver on its core mandates and emerging obligations.
