The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspects linked to a violent armed robbery and attempted murder case in Lagos that left Nigerian singer Lil Kesh severely injured.
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Mathew Adewole of Na’ibawa Quarters and 31-year-old Mukhtar Muhammad of Unguwa Uku Quarters, were tracked down by tactical operatives on September 11 at Na’ibawa, Kano, following credible intelligence.
According to the Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the two men were behind the brutal attack that occurred on August 19 at Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos. During the incident, Adewole allegedly stabbed Lil Kesh in the neck before forcing a mobile transfer of N2.12 million into Muhammad’s account.
Kiyawa confirmed that Adewole has confessed to the crime, which had been under investigation by the Lagos State Police Command. Both suspects have now been handed over to Lagos authorities for further interrogation and prosecution.

The arrest marks a major breakthrough in the fight against cross-state criminal networks, highlighting the growing collaboration between security agencies in Nigeria.
