Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has called on all political appointees to declare their assets, highlighting that 60 to 70 percent have not yet complied with the Code of Conduct rules.
This directive came during an Iftar gathering with heads of government agencies and special advisers at the Government House in Kano. Yusuf emphasized the need for appointees to promptly complete and submit the required forms to adhere to the law.
Additionally, he urged special advisers to provide valuable counsel and to submit timely reports on governance issues, encouraging them to actively engage in monitoring government affairs and offering constructive feedback. Yusuf also announced the allocation of 13 Hajj seats to the heads of government agencies.

In response, Dr. Rahila Mukhtar, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Contributory Health Care Management Agency, expressed gratitude on behalf of the appointees for the governor’s support. Meanwhile, Malam Umar Ibrahim, the Secretary to the State Government, reminded the appointees of their oath to execute their responsibilities with justice and urged them to remain dedicated to Yusuf’s vision of transforming the state and improving the citizens’ standard of living.
