The Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA) has reached out to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for collaboration in tackling the rising prevalence of drug abuse in the state.
During a visit to the NDLEA Kano Command, the Director-General of the DMCSA, Pharm. Gali Sule, expressed deep concern over the growing menace of drug abuse. He announced plans for an extensive sensitization campaign, beginning with the screening of the agency’s staff to set an example in the fight against societal vice.
“Drug abuse is a serious problem in society. It is a social vice that worries any right-thinking person, as it negatively affects not only the pushers but also their families and the society at large,” Pharm. Sule stated. He emphasized the importance of NDLEA’s guidance and support, noting that any success achieved by the DMCSA in this campaign would equally represent a victory for the NDLEA.
