The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service has constituted a taskforce to combat the use of fake number plates, expired particulars and drivers licence by commercial vehicle, and tricycle owners in the state.
The taskforce will also tackle commercial vehicles and trucks owners or drivers who operate without sticker registration.
Head of Communications of KADIRS, Zakari Muhammad, who disclosed this in a statement, said the taskforce will be composed of officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency and others.

Muhammad said the taskforce will be astute in carrying out its duty and will cover nooks and crannies of the state in the three senatorial districts of the state.
“All drivers and vehicle are advised to be up to date on their particulars for the exercise commences from November 18-30, 2024,” the statement stated.
It advised that vehicle owners and drivers who are not up to date in respect of any of the particulars to be verified by the taskforce to visit the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service website or office for the renewal of their sticker registration and number plates.
