Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, has launched a thorough investigation into an alleged assassination attempt on Senator Usman Lawal, representing Kaduna Central under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The directive was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, following claims made by the senator on his official Facebook page. Senator Usman alleged that he narrowly escaped an attack by unidentified thugs in Kaduna North on Wednesday.
According to DSP Hassan, the command was taken aback by the senator’s social media post, as no formal complaint had been filed regarding the incident. He added that efforts to reach the senator for further clarification have so far been unsuccessful.
