The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, will on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, swear in 14 newly appointed judges of the Federal High Court.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold at Courtroom Two of the Supreme Court in Abuja.
The appointments follow recommendations by the National Judicial Council, which recently forwarded the names of 14 candidates to President Bola Tinubu for approval as judges of the Federal High Court.
Those to be sworn in include Suleiman Amida Hassan, Muhammad Barau Saidu, Igboko Chinelo Conchita, Onuegbu Chioma Angela, Galumje Edingah, Ibrahim Vera Eneabo, Abubakar Musa, Usman Salihu and Aisha Yunusa.
Others are Ikpeme Joy Bassey, Shehu Umaru Adamu, Mohammed Ibrahim Buba, Eigege-Binjin Nendelmum Judith, Usoro Kuyik Uduak and Nwoye Osinachi Donatus.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Supreme Court, Festus Akande, said members of the bench, the bar and media organisations are expected to attend the ceremony.
The statement added that strict compliance with the prescribed dress code and security protocols would be enforced for entry into the courtroom.
“The Supreme Court of Nigeria appreciates the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in the justice sector as we work together to strengthen the administration of justice in our nation,” the statement read.
