The political atmosphere in Delta State reached a fever pitch on Monday as Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege arrived Asaba to formally welcome Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Shettima’s aircraft touched down at the Asaba International Airport at exactly 11:30 a.m., where he was warmly received by Governor Oborevwori alongside an impressive delegation of APC stalwarts.

Among those present were Governors Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, and Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, as well as top APC national and regional leaders.
