Nigerian Joseph Jimoh and Ogunjobi have emerged winners of the ITF World Junior Tennis Tour J30 singles category first leg tournament.
Joseph, who played against Yakubu Sani was able to scale through the first leg finals in the male singles by defeating the pair 64-61 points.
However, Yakubu Sani became second with 64 points in the men’s doubles finals, played at the package B of the center court M.K.O. National Stadium, Abuja.
Also, Ogunjobi recorded success in the female category, after triumphing in the female singles match finals of the first leg, against her Nigerian counterpart by 76-63 points, which aided her points to qualify for the second leg tournament and other subsequent championships on February 24, 2025.

The ITF World Junior Tennis Tour is being held in collaboration with the Nigerian Tennis Federation (NTF) with 50 players registered for the tournament from different parts of the world.
The second leg tournament is expected to kick-off on Monday.
The tournament Is conducted in every part of the world with different dates, with the aim of aiding tennis players secure points that will enable them register, and participate in other junior tennis tournaments.
The finals of the tournament for both the male and female category, will be conducted today at the M.K.O. National Stadium.
