The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled the 2025 UTME to April 24. The new official announcement now shifts the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from its previously announced date of Friday, April 25, as this sudden update will affect millions of students nationwide.
The announcement was made on Saturday via JAMB’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle in a statement signed by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin. According to the release, this minor rescheduling was made to accommodate “essential commitments” involving JAMB and its partner agencies, ensuring a smoother and more efficient conduct of the nationwide examination.
In a major development for candidates preparing to sit for the 2025 UTME, JAMB has also announced that examination notification slips are now available for printing. Starting today, Saturday, April 19, 2025, candidates can access these slips to get full details about their exam date, venue, time, and other important guidelines.

Candidates are advised to visit the official JAMB website at www.jamb.gov.ng, navigate to the “2025 UTME Slip Printing” section, input their registration number, and click on “Print Examination Slip” to retrieve the document.
The Board strongly urges candidates to print their slips early and familiarise themselves with the exam centres ahead of the scheduled date to avoid a last-minute rush or confusion. It also reiterated its policy that no candidate would be posted outside their selected examination town.
As the clock ticks down to the new UTME start date, candidates are encouraged to stay alert, follow all JAMB updates closely, and ensure they are fully prepared, both academically and logistically.
