Tottenham has signed Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic, who had his medical in the North London club on Monday, 30 May, 2022. Perisic worked with Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and won the Scudetto with the latter when he was in charge at Inter Milan for two seasons (2019-2021) after leaving Chelsea.
The Croatian, who featured 49 times in all competitions for Nerazzurri scoring 10 goals, won the 2022 Coppa Italia in a final against Juventus where Giorgio Chiellini announced his retirement. If 33-year-old Perisic passes the medical, he will become the second player to join the Lilywhites after Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster’s switch.

Although Inter Milan had hoped to retain the winger by offering to extend his contract, he turned down the offer to reunite with Conte by agreeing to a two-year deal worth £100,000 weekly, football365 reported.
However, Tottenham are still in pursuit of a ‘top target’ and Inter Milan centre-defender, Alessandro Bastoni, but the player is adamant to honour a move to England.
According to Daily Mail, it would cost Tottenham about £50m to sign Bastoni should he accept to move to England, a fee Spurs will scrap a part from the sale of £20m-valued Harry Winks who is not part of Conte’s plans.
