Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Council, Comrade Warri Ovoke Friday, has expressed dissatisfaction regarding the work ethic of medical staff at the Umeh Primary Health Centre.
Warri conducted a site visit to the facility, and was shocked to discover that there was no medical personnel present at the primary healthcare centre to address the needs of patients.
The unscheduled visit, according to the local government chairman, was aimed at verifying complaints received over the attitude of the medical staff at the health centre in discharging their duties.
While interacting with some residents during the visit, the chairman was shocked to note the absence of the staff in the primary healthcare centre.

He advises residents of Umeh and other communities in Isoko South Local Government to consistently, report the activities of such workers to the local government authorities in their area, ensuring that outcomes genuinely benefit from government support, and yield fruitful and beneficial results for end-users.
“The residents of Umeh deserve quality infrastructure that meets their health needs, and we are committed to advocating for such standards,” he added.
Warri and his team also utilised the opportunity to assess the dilapidated Umeh Market, which has been affected by the damage caused by recurring floods.
