The staff of Isoko South Local Government Area can look forward to the commencement of the new minimum wage payments in November, according to an assurance from the council chairman, Friday Ovoke Warri. He made the announcement during a thanksgiving service held at the Chapel of Light in Oleh, where he celebrated his first 100 days in office and was honored with an award of excellence.
The award, presented by Mrs. Ethel Eghaire on behalf of the council staff, recognized Warri as a dedicated and resilient leader. Eghaire praised his commitment to progress, expressing hopes for continued empowerment that will drive further development for Isoko South.

In his acceptance speech, Warri expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of the council staff. He urged them to continue working collaboratively to help fulfill his administration’s goals, which align with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE agenda—a plan focused on sustainable growth and development for the Delta State people.
The thanksgiving service was marked by a vibrant spiritual atmosphere, with inspiring performances from gospel ministers including Evangelists Solo Kings and George Eriega, as well as Minister Fortune and Minister Igho Oziwele. The event brought together notable attendees, including Council Vice Chairman Theresa Oghale Ikrike, Isoko South Legislative Leader Friday Olokor, Council Secretary, Osuofa Aziakpono, Victor Ekelega, Isoko South PDP chairman, Mrs Iroro Ofrogbo, HPM, Emakpor Odogwu, councilors alongside other council members and dignitaries.
