The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has officially launched the Digital Youth Skill Empowerment Program on April 29, 2025. The event, held at the NULGE Hall in the Isoko North Council Secretariat, drew enthusiastic participants from all 13 wards of the LGA, marking a new era of tech transformation in the region.
With the theme “Building Skills, Unlocking Opportunities,” the initiative focuses on equipping young people with high-demand digital competencies, including UI/UX Design, Web Development, and Project Management. These skills are not just relevant—they are essential for thriving in today’s technology-driven economy, and the Council’s vision is clear: prepare Isoko youth to compete and succeed on the global stage.
Addressing the energized crowd, Hon. Ogorugba passionately emphasized the transformative power of digital knowledge. He urged participants to take the training seriously, drawing inspiration from global tech pioneers like Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, who rose to global prominence by harnessing technology through dedication and innovation.
“This initiative is more than a program, it’s a pathway to global opportunities,” the Chairman said. “We are in the era of Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation, and Isoko youth must not be spectators. This training will open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation.”
