The Proprietor of Pacesetters Group of Schools, Abuja, Kenneth Imansuangbon (aka The Riceman), has pitched his tent with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Formally making his movement to the party in Benin City on Wednesday morning, Imansuangbon said that the ADC is the vehicle that will be deployed to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of bad governance in the wake of unemployment, poor value of the naira, escalating cost of food items, and other essential commodities.
“It is only we, Nigerians, that would rescue our country. Are we ready for ADC to rescue our country?
“We have decided to rescue our country. Why am I here? I am here because I am tired of hunger,” he stated.

Going further, he stressed: “I can no longer buy rice to share to the poor people of Edo State! To the widows and widowers. I am tired of that! I am tired because I can no longer buy fuel!
“Nigerians are special people created by God. I have found an alternative. I have found a credible alternative. An alternative that’s genuinely for change.”
Imansuangbon lost his aspiration to govern Edo State in 2024, losing the Labour Party (LP) primary to Olumide Akpata, former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), under controversial circumstances.
