Nollywood actress, Chika Ike has dismissed rumours that her pregnancy is linked to billionaire politician and businessman, Sen. Ned Nwoko, who is married to actress, Regina Daniels.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Ike firmly stated that Sen. Nwoko is not the father of her child, emphasizing her disinterest in becoming anyone’s seventh wife and expressing her commitment to privacy regarding her personal life.
She rejected the swirling speculation as false, and highlighted that she has always regarded past rumors as trivial, but felt a strong need to clarify this situation due to its implications for her child.
Ike, who had managed to keep her pregnancy private for months, expressed amusement at the public’s attempts to uncover details about her personal life, emphasizing that her privacy is her peace.
She wrote “FALSE! FALSE! FALSE. There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are—rumours that needed no response.

“But this is different. This is about my child… Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whoever’s name you might come up with later in your guessing games—like I’ve said before—I’m not about to be anyone’s seventh wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”
Meanwhile, Sen. Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, also denied the rumours. His communications office released a statement on Monday, calling the claims “baseless” and dismissing them as “a product of malicious speculation.”
The controversy emerged after actress Regina Daniels, Sen. Nwoko’s wife, reportedly deactivated her Instagram account, leading to heightened speculation online.
Some social media users had claimed Daniels’ social media absence was linked to the pregnancy rumours surrounding Ike and Sen. Nwoko.
