The Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi, has declared that he will contest the 2027 presidential election.
He announced during an X Spaces discussion on Sunday night, where he categorically stated that he would not consider a vice-presidential position.
The former governor of Anambra State said that he did not spend years gaining experience in governance and business just to accept a role as vice-president.

“I am not traveling around the world to learn governance to be vice-president,” Obi stated.
“I know how to transform Nigeria. I built my business from the ground up and possess more experience than any other candidate, including the current President.
“Peter Obi will be on the ballot in 2027. I need your support. I need your prayers.”
