The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reiterated the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to international collaboration in the ongoing fight against transnational crime.
This comes as he received the Honourable Lord David George Hanson, Minister from the UK Home Office, on a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja.
During the high-level meeting, both parties underscored the growing threat of transnational crime—particularly cybercrime and fraud—which pose major challenges to both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Lord Hanson commended the existing partnerships between the UK Government and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), especially in combating cybercriminal activities. He further expressed optimism about deepening this collaboration through a forthcoming Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in law enforcement.
