Bayelsa State’s Commissioner for Sports Development, Daniel Igali, has congratulated Bayelsa Queens following their stellar performance to emerge winners of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership Super Six in Ikenne, Ogun State
Bayelsa Queens came tops of the Super Six amassing 10 points ahead of Nasarawa Amazons after a remarkable 4-1 win over Naija Ratels on Saturday
Igali, in a message personally signed, lauded the inspiring victory.
Describing that the win did not only showcase the talent and resilience of the team, but also solidifies their position as a top side that will hope to give Nigeria a better representation at the CAF Women’s Champions League
“I want to praise the players for their exceptional skills, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament.
“The performances reflect the hard work and dedication of the athletes, coaching staff, management, and everyone involved.
“I want to dedicate this trophy to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for always matching words with action.
