The Isoko apex socio-cultural group world-wide, Isoko Development Union Lagos branch will celebrate Isoko cultural day at the Basketball Hall, National Stadium, Surulere Lagos on October 28th, 2023.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer Mrs Grace Osima and the 1st Vice-Presidentnt Engr. S. E Okpithe, stated that the Isoko cultural day will be celebrated with the theme; Towards a Greater Isoko nation under the chairmanship of High Chief Iduh Amadhe erstwhile President General Isoko Development Union.
According to the statement, “The event will serve as a day to showcase the rich and highly cherished culture of the more than 20 clans that constitute the Isoko nation.
“The cultural fiesta also serves as a platform to recognize some of the deserving illustrious sons and daughters of Isoko land who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour and the development of Isoko land.”

The statement further added, “The occasion will also serve as a medium to raise funds towards the construction of the Isoko Civic Center ( ISOKO HOUSE), Lagos.
“Guest speaker of the event that will begin by 10:am prompt in the morning is Professor Oghenekaro Moses Ogbinaka, a distinguished son of Isoko land and former Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Lagos Chapter.”
