The NNPC OANDO National JV Scholarship provides eligible Nigerian tertiary education students with an annual grant of ₦200,000. Selected students will receive funding from the year of selection until their final year of study at their current universities.
The NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint Venture, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, invites qualified applicants to apply for the 2025 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme. The application period runs from March 27 to April 30, 2025.
Categories of Awards
Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – Exclusively for applicants from OANDO Host/Transit Communities.
National Merit Award – Available to applicants from non-host/transit communities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
Be full-time undergraduates enrolled in a Nigerian tertiary institution.
Be certified 100-level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in the 2024/2025 academic session are eligible).
Be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Not be receiving any other scholarship from a company in the oil and gas industry, whether national or international.
Ineligible Candidates
The following students should not apply:
Current beneficiaries of similar awards from other companies and agencies.
Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA staff.
Only indigenes of NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States can apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.

Only students studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Science are eligible for the National Merit Award.

Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only for Host Communities Merit Award applicants)
Letter from CDC Chairman (Only for Host Communities Merit Award applicants)
