The House of Representatives has adopted the report on the proposed amendment to the University Teaching Hospitals (Reconstitution of Boards, etc.) Act No. 10, 1985. The bill, sponsored by Rt. Hon. Engr. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, who represents Isoko Federal Constituency, aims to reshape Nigeria’s healthcare and education landscape by including the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Erawha-Owhe, in Delta State.
Presented during a plenary session by Hon. Amos Gwamna, chairman of the House Committee on Health Institutions, the bill seeks to integrate the proposed teaching hospital into the framework of federal university teaching hospitals across the country.
