Hotel manager injured by stray bullet during Police raid in Delta. A hotel manager, Mr. Gabriel Ovu, narrowly escaped death when a stray bullet from a police officer hit him during a raid in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
The bullet struck Ovu in the abdomen during the operation, which targeted drug dens, prostitution rings, and suspected cultists in the area.
The raid, led by a police crack team, involved a sweep of various establishments when the accidental discharge occurred at a local hotel where Ovu was working. Eyewitnesses said the manager was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

While the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, a source within the Delta State Police Command confirmed that the officer responsible for the accidental discharge has not yet been identified.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright, denied that an accidental discharge occurred, but anonymous sources within the command acknowledged the incident during the raid.
The shooting has sparked concerns from community members, with many questioning the level of care and professionalism shown by officers during such operations.
