Retired Hollywood actress, Dalyce Curry, renowned for her performances in classic films such as ‘The Blues Brothers,’ ‘The Ten Commandments,’ and ‘Lady Sings the Blues,’ has tragically passed away at the age of 95, during the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
Her remains were discovered at her charred property in Altadena, California.
Curry’s great-granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, last saw her on January 7, when she dropped her off at home.
The following morning, Kelley attempted to check on her but was blocked by police barricades in the area.
The family then searched for Curry at the Pasadena Civic Centre, which served as a shelter for those displaced by the fires, but they failed to find her.
Days later, officials confirmed the devastating news of her death.

“She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating.”
Her granddaughter, Loree Beamer-Wilkinson, noted that despite her age, Curry was very active and vibrant.
Curry’s death contributed to at least 24 fatalities reported in the Los Angeles area due to the wildfires.
