The Henry Ojogho Foundation has sparked a wave of transformation in Oleh, Delta State, with the launch of its groundbreaking Self-Discovery Training Program. The four-day event, running from December 2 to 5, 2024, aims to equip 50 vibrant youths and students with essential tools for personal growth, career clarity, and life-long empowerment.
Day one of the program set the tone for an unforgettable journey. Participants were immersed in dynamic sessions designed to awaken their potential, uncover hidden talents, and chart a purposeful path in life. Guided by expert facilitators, attendees explored concepts of self-awareness, goal setting, and strategic planning, creating a buzz of excitement and optimism.
A highlight of the opening day was an impactful session on Self-discovery, passion-discovery, Career path selection and career therapy led by Miss Patricia Akah. She focused SWOT analysis and masterfully guided participants in identifying their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, emphasizing how these insights can shape their futures. Her session left the youths inspired to take control of their destinies.
Among the participants was Joy Okoro, who described the experience as eye-opening. “This training has helped me see the opportunities I can create for myself,” she said. “I’m thrilled for the remaining sessions.”
Another participant, David Oyelemaogba, expressed profound gratitude to High Chief Henry Ojogho, the foundation’s sponsor, for bringing such a transformative program to Isoko South. “This is the first time I’ve had the chance to truly uncover what drives me,” he shared.

The theme for Day One, Uncovering You: A Journey of Self-Discovery, resonated deeply. Participants reflected on questions like, “Have you ever felt like you’re living someone else’s dream? Like you’re just going through the motions, unsure of what makes you tick?” The sessions provided answers, laying a solid foundation for the days ahead.
As Day Two commences, participants are eager to delve deeper into topics like skill acquisition, passion discovery, career path selection, and career therapy. The organizers have promised even more engaging activities and impactful mentorship to ensure attendees leave equipped to thrive in today’s competitive world.
According to the program director of the foundation, Ohamadike Onyinye Debora, she said the program underscores their commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable community development. “We’re not just training these youths; we’re investing in the future of Oleh,” she remarked.
